Aricent Interview of Sangeeta Pillai

For Aricent :

Writtern test consisted of four parts namely
Apti , DS-Algo , C/C++ & Analyticsal Reasoning

In Interview , the interviewer was already having my critical incidence form with him. So he first scanned through it and then he asked me to describe myself.

Then he asked me that what do I think that how was my GD ?
Following this the next Questions put up to me were all regarding the answers writtern in critical incidence form . There were in all 7 questions out of which he randomly asked me 4 and started discussing the same with me .

Then came he technical part wherein he asked me my favorite subject, I said OS and C

He started asking me Questions from OS
-> What is difference b/w threads & process and which is better ?
-> What are various scheduling algorithms ?
-> What Is PCB and what does it contains ?
-> Which OS have i worked on yet ? I said WindowsXP & Linux
-> What is difference b/w Unix & Linux
-> What is difference b/w Windows & Unix
-> What are RTOS .Explain it's main features

Then he switched over to C
-> He gave me simple stack reverse function to write using Recursion, he alo asked me to trace the program woth a dummy string.
-> He asked me simple questions in binary trees ,doubly linked list and applications of circular linked list

Then he swiched over to networking
-> What is differnce b/w circuit switching & packet switching. Also state their respective disadvantages.
-> What is difference b/w TCP & UDP ?

Then he moved over to DBMS
-> He asked me about ER diagrams and normalizations.

he asked me about the types of testing known to me and SDLC phases in s/w engg.

In the end he asked me whether there are any questoins that I would like to ask him.
