My Technical Questions
First of all my interviewer asked me to tell her somthng abt myself,though it was a tech round but it began with a short intro.
we were given a form in which i wrote dat i wanna be a s/w devloper,so she asked me phases of s/w devlopment(SE question)
then she asked me communication through sockets...about listen proc,whether its a blocking or non blocking call,vat is
its func and relevance,is it neccesary,is comm. posble widout a listen call or not...if yes how?
then she asked me OSI layers,their function,TCP\IP model,description of every layer of it....diff b\w tcp n udp.
after that abt URLs,hw does comm takes place through http.
Then she asked me from OS, deadlock,n any techinque to prevent it....
then she asked me abt semaphores,its methods semsignal and semwait,hw does it help to ensure mutual exclusion,their code and details through an example.
Difference b/w interrupt and signal
then she asked me abt my favorite subject wich I said was DS n she asked me about binary search-its code,running time,
AVL trees....
then she asked a puzzle from me...
I wasnt asked but unix file system is a very imp que for technical interview.....
My HR Questions
Give a brief intro abt urself, your family background...
suppose there is a situation in which u are working on an project with 6 more employees,two of dem have some very urgent family problems because of which they wud have d project,ur own wrk is pending and u r already doing an overtime to complete it, and now u may have to wrk more if u wanna heip them coz company can not assign other employees for the project. So the ques is what wud u do nw- tell dem to ignore their family probs and complete their wrk or u wud help them? and if u wud help them, then hw wud u manage ur wrk? from where will u get extra tm to do overtime?
what is ur dream company?
where do u see urself 5 yrs down the line?
what if company places u outside Delhi,wud u go for it?
do u wanna ask any thng from us?
